That which we see as revolutionary is but a heart cry of anti-worldly pressure - we desire to see so much changed that we are prepared to be "fight" to see it happen - actually Jesus died to see it happen!
Revoltionaries turn the world upside down - Jesus actually came to reveal what is right side up; it is we who are upside down, we who have revolted against God's order; in effect, we have to be revolutionised, not us be the revolutionaries! Pauls comment on being "all things to all men" hardly suggests a revolutionary.
Maybe the heart cry for revolution should be modified to a heart cry for obedience?
Great thoughts though! Like on Pirates of the Caribbean, we need to throw our weight from side-to-side until we flip the religious boat so that we can read the map the right way up!

Blessings
Colin WalmsleyExtending Boundarieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08157907233363080249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9216067962317835098.post-85120388855737292342009-05-25T07:28:06.586-07:002009-05-25T07:28:06.586-07:00"Whilst we can accept that He was to die to “take ..."Whilst we can accept that He was to die to “take away the sins of the world”, the modern church and the theology that has drip-fed them, suggests that the evangelical church is a irrelevant, outdated organization set to maintain a conservative status quo. Losing her revolutionary edge by becoming an arm of the main stream, has made her a joke in the eyes of the world she is trying to reach."

Chris, I so appreciate your insight into God's agenda. He is more than gimmicks and flash...we must once again rise, take up our mantle be about the Kings business - no more feeble attempts at winning the world via the worlds systems.

God is, and always has been, looking for REVOLUTIONARIES!

Thanks for your unashamed boldness for the sake of the Gospel.

Bless you brother,
-AdamWaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02603520112633968501noreply@blogger.com
